Peanut Butter, all large containers gone. A few small ones remained.
Ibuprofen. Major empty shelves.
Sugar, in large bags gone, a few 5# sacks.
Still no rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer.
Still doing a lot of daytime stocking.

Yeah, and surviving the aftermath is really going to be a challenge.

Other people will probably not be happy you are eating beans too.

There was a food shortage long before the virus showed up and we will be depending on this growing season to make up for the lost crops for two years and it is not looking real good so far, way too much rain on our food baskets already.

T.P. in short supply here in Grand Junction, Co. It's sucked up as soon as it is put out. Never even gets on the shelves. Hand sanitizers and Lysol Spray GONE. Food still on shelves, but not much reserve cannage. Pinto beans readily available on end displays in 2 pound pkgs. Yuk! I hate beans, but I know I'll eventually be eating them along with my rice, to get proper protein balance..... not looking forward to it, though.....

Yes, I've noticed in the Walmarts near me (2) and the out of county one that canned veggies have remained unstocked. I think this might relate back to late spring when there was a shortage on canned veggies. I stocked up then and didn't need to now.

After I redid the math, I have enough TP to last three months. If we have to self-isolate longer, I have the back-up system of the portable bidet and wash cloths, a bucket and bleach to throw them until they can be washed. Do you remember my old website, Apocalyptic Housewife? I've been doing this a long time, since 2003, learning and preparing for when the SHTF.

That is true, Kim. I think Americans are being seen as very foolish. All the emphasis on toilet paper. You can't eat toilet paper. I could not find commercial aloe vera gel, which was recommended to stay shelf stable.
I did score a few tubes of aloe vera lotion, in addition to the Jergens, to add alcohol to for hand sanitizer. And, I got the last 6-pack of Ivory bar soap. I didn't think I was going to get any (as I have all those sensitivities), so I was happy about that. The trip out of county was productive.

I am exhausted. And there is more to do tomorrow, regarding security, laundry ( washing machine decided to die), but we are getting there. I am happy to report that I did not see one person who looked or acted ill.

We have a large grocery store 8 miles from us and the next store is 24 miles away on our local face book page a few minutes ago the report from the local store was that it was virtually devoid of anything of value to eat or any paper.
