Low level employees don't have much if any severance pay. Virginia is an at-will employment state and employers don't even have to have a reason to fire someone.
But, employees can fight back. After the get their severance pay (if any), picket the corporations that are firing Americans because of their greed. Let the world know who they are. Then the rest of us can boycott their products. We don't have to use violence to make change. Just hit them in the pocket books.
So what if that means you can use your electronic toys. Don't you know by know they are electronic leashes the gov't has us on? Get rid of the TV, keep a low-tech cell phone for travel emergencies, otherwise don't use them, get the kids (and the adults) off the stupid games. They are "stupid games" because their intent is to distract, disable, and make you stupid as the corporate porkers pick your pocket.
