Don’t forget about your rural fire departments! We raised some money from friends and family and took this out to them. They were well stocked on water and Gatorade but that’s about it. We got lists from some of our friends on the frontlines of the fires and delivered God Bless the women and men out there fighting these fires to keep us safe. In case you want to donate to the rural departments that maybe didn’t get overloaded with stuff: chapstick, bandaids, wool socks, snacks, blister cream, feminine products, energy drinks, Advil or Tylenol, and bandanas were the items we were told by our friends up there that they would appreciate and running low on. Hang in there, everyone!
