BTW we do not know how his foot got so infected. We do not know if he was an abuse case, or just dropped off. We also do not know if the foot was already bad before or after he was abandoned.
He was an abandoned cat that we found on a job site. He kept showing up limping on paw which happened to be a massive mess of abscesses and dripping pus. Since he was so friendly hubby decided that I should take him to the vet. I warned him this would be expensive as they would want to amputate. Well, they did. I was shocked, they took the WHOLE LEG off!!!! I would have demanded they save half the leg as their reasoning was ridiculous. They should see the poor kitty trying to use his elbow to walk on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But yet, he has turned out to be a terrific mouser for my barn! And he is super friendly. :)
