I tried out the Black Bean Burger from beprepared.com. My son like the smell of it. He said it made a decent burger. I tried it and it was a decent substitute for a ground beef patty. I didn't try it with condiments. He did. A lot of salt though. 400+ g.
That's the trouble with long-term storage food. To make it last that long, you can't have any oil or fats, because they go rancid. But really, do we expect to not need it for 25 years? It is over-priced carbs (the cheapest of foods).
I would get a year's supply of normal food and finish it off with cheap carbs bought in bulk and bucket them myself (I have buckets of beans, rice, and oatmeal.) I would put them in individual bags inside the buckets. When the buckets have been stored for a long time, the tops get dirty/moldy and don't want that stuff falling into the bucket upon opening. Probably would help to clean the lids off occasionally to prevent a build-up.
My second order from my patriot supply came in yesterday and I was not real impressed, looks like a months worth of carbohydrates.
Yep food is going to disappear real soon. I looked at survival sites today and they are just about sold out everywhere.
It is coming (the food shortage) as it has been spoken about in prophecy many many times over the past 15 years.
I best get out and buy another 25 lb sack of rice. I am sure the price will go sky high on rice soon.
As of yesterday 1/3 of the worlds food was destroyed and today 70% of China's rice disappeared from one newly flooded area.
He is correct about China. They will have a food shortage for sure. And if that dam goes at three gorges, there goes Wuhan. The place that started it all with Covid. Karma? Universe righting a wrong? The Universe cleaning up a society that is corrupt? Most likely.
It will be the worst for heavier populated areas if this destruction keeps continuing.
Too bad most people are not as informed as this black guy. When it comes to eating, the Govt. is NOT your friend.... if you are not prepared, you had better be scared......very scared.....because you are on some cannibal's grocery list.....
