  also on the oil running out so he is not 100% correct, though he got a lot of things right...

  Paul,

  I have learned to take all prognosticators with a grain of salt, I am not saying that they are not accurate or even legitimate, I simply feel that we have a lot more power to influence the future than we give ourselves credit for....and just because it is said or written does not mean it will come to pass....March was supposed to be when we lost all power grids.....prognosticated and all....didn't even come close to accurate.  Also keep in mind that we as humans have a tendency to draw associations consciously and subconsciously..... meaning that sometimes we see something happen and immediately associate it with some prediction or other that we recently were exposed to.....doesn't mean that we are incorrect or on the wrong path it simply means that we can make mistakes along the way....

  Just my thoughts.

  I am of a slightly different thought process when it comes to visitors/aliens.  I strongly believe that any race to have mastered travel between the stars had to first focus their society on that path which would required halting warlike tendencies....think of it this way, we progress as a society up to a point and wars keep pace with us up to a point then with each successive war we are tossed back into the dark ages having to relearn all that has been lost....this cycle can happen indefinitely until war is removed from the equation allowing for the advancement of society beyond the point where they are able to destroy themselves, which would eventually lead to travel and exploration.....so I tend to feel that just about any race that has visited or will be visiting is pacifist in nature or close to.  If not we lose, period, because if they can travel between the stars they sure as hell can clean the indigenous population off the face of this planet. 

  No one truly knows what 2012 has in store for us but I am pretty confident that its a positive.  We should all accept by this point in time that the earth has been visited and since we are still here.....the visitors are not necessarily evil.
