Most Drs. and nurses here only wear the masks for short periods of time before they "take a break" outside, or in a back room out of sight. The masks were NEVER intended for eight hour stretches of wear. You WILL get sick if you do it. A few Drs. and nurses that were laid off here in Grand Junction are starting to return, as our mask laws have all but been lifted for the average patient, or customer. The hospital requires you to wear one until you get to the examination rooms. Then it's more or less optional. As far as I know, no one has died here in Mesa County, Co. ... Kroger Grocery here REQUIRED all their workers to sign an agreement that they will wear a mask full time, or be terminated. Found that out from one of their butchers....My gym used to require a mask, but does not do so now. They just made every other piece of equipment off limits, and you lose your membership if you fail to sanitize it after every use.
I take precautions also because I have a goal to last until the final chapter of this screwed up life can be written by the real winners.
Jim, it makes you wonder how medical workers (in normal times) could use those masks.
It's okay, Byron. Between being 65 and having diabetes and chronic fatigue IMMUNE DYSFUNCTION syndrome, fibromyalgia and chronic bronchitis, I'm a sitting duck. I'm staying home if the numbers start going up in my area. I'm not afraid. I'm just cautious.
Jim you must be getting to a serious age yourself, I have to be more compassionate to people who are afraid, My sister in Hawaii is a chocolate mess and is not allowed to go outside without a mask and she is petrified and thinks all the hospitals are full.
Yes Kim you governor killed a lot of old people in rest homes and goldylocks took his mother out because he knew what was happening.
They are working on trying to impeach Governor Wolf and firing Goldilocks here in Pa (if Wolf is gone then we are stuck with the lot Governor dont know if he is any better). I want to see Goldilocks go first. There are many issues here in Pennsylvania that need fixing!!!!
The N95 mask has holes (to breathe through) that are 1 micron in diameter. Since the average VIRUS is only 1/10 of a micron, one can immediately see that the masks are absolutely NO GOOD for stopping the spread of any virus. Does a 5 foot tall man have any trouble passing through a 50 foot doorway? The masks are only good at containing most of a sneeze or cough of someone who is actively sneezing and coughing, but is unable to contain ALL of those....The hand sanitizers, washings, gloves, and sanitary sprays are much more effective at stopping the spread of viruses. The face shields are better than the masks. They don't deprive you of oxygen, like the masks do. Wearing an N95 mask will MAKE YOU SICK. Don't do it..... If you have to put one on to enter someplace, loosen the metal clip around your nose, or let your nose go free. Fake it. Better than coming down sick. Zinc and OXYGEN are the primary things that HEAL your body, if you ARE sick... You must NOT hinder your body's ability to obtain fresh, cool, oxygen...
I should of remembered you got Diabetes right after getting a tetanus shot. Just take care of yourself the best way you know how.
Byron, just not going out much, using pick-up services if I have to, or else get someone else to go shopping for me {shudder}, plus taking all my supplements is my plan.
