  • You are so right Alex!  For the newbees a good place to start is the Fox Fire books. But it seems to me that the biggest problem NOW prior to the shift is the economy.  If it collapes too soon, many will not have time to learn what they will need to survive or have the cash to buy what they will need.  I think that the luckiest folks are the, Amash, the Mormans, and any farmer with a small track of land!  But remember even if you are well prepared, your life still depends on your neighbors!

  • With so many waking up, I find it harder and harder to get haritage seeds!

  • And prepping isn't just physical, but mental and spiritual, too.

  • Choosing to prepare is just as much a choose as choosing not to prepare....I commend anyone with at least an iota of common sense, who understands that preparing is the difference between life and death, period.  9 years and counting.  The number one thing I hear is how cost prohibitive prepping can be.....ummm, the number one aspect of preparing is learning and to the best of my knowledge, learning is free.....more than the items you may accumalate in preparations for the worst, knowledge on how to survive is paramount without exception.  Having a simple plan of where to congregate after a disaster can make the difference and yes is also considered part of preparing.....  Just a few thoughts :)

  • So am I.  Except I've been prepping for nearly 13 years.

  • I am one of them.
