I don't know. I have been looking at this since yesterday and the story has been changing pretty often.

Earlier in the day on the same web sight they said that they were told they were heading into a rif and the cpt. told the phililp. agency that they had to contact the navy in order for him to change his course, and ahortly after. Well, ...

I would be ashamed if I was this captain. What I don't understand is, is that in tis "high-tech" world we are living in, that a Navey mine sweeper can not see the depth of the water ahead of it? for 350 bucks you can buy a fishfinder that may have been of more help. :-)

  • Good old paper map. Beats the electronic stuff. The Navy should rely on both all the time.
