  • Your welcome Rosemary. I read that the Japanese held many demonstrations today, so perhaps this is the beginning of the end for Nuclear Power in Japan. Too late I fear. I will keep them in my prayers. Radiation is truly the stuff of nightmares. When I was growing up in San Jose Ca. I used to imagine a nuclear bomb being dropped on my city. (Yes I was somewhat of a morbid kid...) I never really thought of the implications to civilian nuclear power until recently. What I've learned is horrifying.
  • Thanks for the link Jonas. I just read it. Yes it is very sad to know that Japanese people are left behind and that there is nothing we can do. Bummer.
  • Cheryl that is an unimaginable thought for those poor honorable people, they all should of been evacuated long ago.
  • It's tragic, but not unexpected.  Imagine what the rest of Japan will be experiencing.  This is why taking precautions is so important to implement now.
  • Jonas I saw this yesterday and became sick to my stomach, I live 275 miles from the coast and have lived my life but these poor children don't even have a chance. If 25% of the people in the US were able to see this meassage there would be hell to pay for this ignorant greed.
  • Yes Rosemary, here is a link to information on how the radiation has affected the Pacific North West infant mortality rates so far. http://www.counterpunch.org/sherman06102011.html

  • It gives me the shivers looking at this. Do we have any other information about armful radiation coming our way?
