also if you check my other magnetospheres, over the past week they have been like that almost everyday. some could be from the cme's.

they go crazy sometimes from strong solar winds. planet x is knocking the sun out of its normal flow. only one time since may, when i started with the other group, have i seen it normal at all.

The blue lines represent magnetic north, the red lines represent magnetic south. When blue goes down and red goes up it means Earth's magnetic shield is being blasted by magnetic particles. It may be the cosmic rays Amy mentioned in her post. Whatever it is, it is related to Planet X somehow. Here is an explanation: http://zetatalk.com/index/zeta542.htm.

The lines shouldn't be that seperated should they? Would that imply a weakening of the field?
