Makes sense to me.  Let's see how much we can sabotage ourselves, right?

And it was announced fires were on the terrorist agenda.  If the gov't would stop giving helpful hints, maybe they wouldn't happen.

They have it covered here big time. Last year the fires kept a distance but they were very large.

Also, need dead, dried out wood to act as a tinder for lighting more forest fires.

Here in Idaho the pine beetles are killing many trees but in National and state forests you are not allowed to carry a branch out, selling firewood is very popular here the cutters would gladly remove the dead trees if allowed, they used to be able to but last year it was stopped and no one has an answer why. Because we say so is there answer. Another inside job for sure. Move to the cities folks it is dangerous in those woods is my answer.
