The first thought I had was the rain water that is why the pump comment.
You make a very good point about the shape. It seems to me that sensible architects would really make that consideration.
I have been to that very square a few years ago. The buildings around it are fairly damaged from quakes.
I think your idea of a sinking structure is something they may be missing with the design. All of that weight bearing down on a point has surely got to push it down.
Nice idea but, Where will the rain go? And with the way it is built (a wedge) In a quake it might just sink! The ground is too unpredictable. But this is nothing new as it is the same layout as the Dulce Base!
Right DR. I would not want to visit a structure like that especially since Mexico is a hot spot for quakes.
Beautiful design, Lets hope the pumps they will need to keep the bottom dry never break down.
