Has Assad just set the scene for a false flag event on US soil?

Although Assad said "if attacked by U.S.", is it now more plausible/possible for a false flag event on US soil - that happens prior to any U.S. attack on Syria - to be blamed on pro-Assad forces to justify an attack on Syria?

I hope not.
