This sonic sound boom was first recorded in 1953 so it has been for quite sometime. It may seems to be on the rise simply because of urabn spread and the chance of them being heard naturally increases. Although, we don't really know what it is, it does sounds scary. But on the other hand, this boom sounds has been here and there for eons of ages and should not becom an alarming item.
