Wyoming Introduces ‘Doomsday Bill’ To Prepare For Collapse of Federal Government
Legislation lays plans for alternate currency in aftermath of US dollar devaluation
by Paul Joseph Watson
Lawmakers in Wyoming have introduced a bill that would compel the state to prepare for a complete collapse of the federal government, laying plans for an alternate currency, a standing army raised via a military draft, and an aircraft carrier.
“House Bill 85 passed on first reading by a voice vote. It would create a state-run government continuity task force, which would study and prepare Wyoming for potential catastrophes, from disruptions in food and energy supplies to a complete meltdown of the federal government,” reports the Wyoming Star-Tribune.
Compared to the rest of the country, Wyoming’s public finances are in a relatively good condition, a fact that has spurred lawmakers to protect the state against contagion from other areas that could develop in the aftermath of a massive financial collapse.
The bill (PDF) lays the groundwork for how the state would respond in the event of a sudden devaluation of the dollar or “a situation in which the federal government has no effective power or authority over the people of the United States.”
“I don’t think there’s anyone in this room today what would come up here and say that this country is in good shape, that the world is stable and in good shape — because that is clearly not the case,” state Rep. Lorraine Quarberg, R-Thermopolis, said. “To put your head in the sand and think that nothing bad’s going to happen, and that we have no obligation to the citizens of the state of Wyoming to at least have the discussion, is not healthy.”
The bill has to pass two more House votes before it can be considered by the Senate. If passed, the task force would have until December 1, 2012 to submit a report to the governor detailing the continuity of government plan.
While authorities at both the state and federal level are making preparations for social dislocation, with FEMA recently ordering $1 billion dollars worth of dehydrated food, a total of 420 million meals, Americans who buy food supplies in bulk are being characterized as potential terrorists by the FBI.
Continuity of government plans implemented at the federal level are so sensitive that when the plan was last updated in 2007, Congressman Peter DeFazio was barred from seeing the details despite being a sitting member of the House Homeland Security Committee.
Peter DeFazio (D – OR) was asked by his constituents to see what was contained within the classified portion of the White House’s plan for operating the government after a catastrophic terrorist attack, but was denied access, leading him to comment, “Maybe the people who think there’s a conspiracy out there are right.”
Five years later, the biggest threat posed to America’s survival in its current form of government stems not from terrorists but from the country’s huge unsustainable national debt and the possibility of another economic collapse.
A USA Today article published yesterday quoted three separate financial experts who all concur that the worst of the financial turmoil is yet to come, with trend forecaster Gerald Celente warning of an “economic 9/11″ that will provoke mass civil unrest fueled by anti-government sentiment.

I would keep preparing ... too many coincidences
They say the hardest thing is to hit is a moving target. but if all your firepower is geared up towards suppressing a violent and moving target, in other words is a reaction to the energy of your opponent, then let us assume your opponent stops moving, becomes calm and quiescent, and non belligerent then all your firepower is useless unless you wishe it used on a stationary non violent target. therefore, the less you do to justify your enemies using his Superior firepower the more he will come over to your side or at least leave you alone.
Well said Nicholas with that I can easily agree, we hold our futures in our hands and our actions will define how certain things will turn out....
it could work both ways, Alex. the saying goes, the proof of the pudding lies in the eating.
we will know when things begin ti happen, It is impossible to predict things. one very very factor is how will the masses behave? if there is anarchy and violence there will be only one outcome. if they re more civilized it may encourage the authorities to behave likewise. if gas becomes scarce, will they burn down the gas station or take up walking and cycling? It is how we behave that may be the deciding factor.
Ok,
I need to ask....is this perceived as a good thing or a bad one..... because it just seems that they are guaranteeing that there will be an army and a government after the *hit hits the fan.....kinda like the contingencies that kick in with FEMA....just saying.
Possible There have been rumors and articles about Gov agencies being moved to higher ground for some time
here is another thought, just watching your star viewer post by the way, --intriguing,
anyhow, the places of refuge will be in the mountains. Now, Wyoming is mountainous am I right? maybe it is part of a plan to make these mountainous areas safe and secure, in readiness for what may be coming. Also, could it be some 'important' people are taking up residence here? and how about a few agencies?
Good questions ... I would suggest that we all start looking for these needles that are hidden in plain sight. The information we seek is there
one has to assume that some of these people in state legislatures are aware one way or another of the true state of the nation, and if the planet x scenario is more than folklore and is based on some deep reality, we must also assume some of this must be known, either by direct Knowledge of it or at least in some round about way, . so knowing what is coming and knowing what the federal government is planning , it is t be assumed a few states like Wyoming will take a lead in preparing the citizenry for future events. I think it s wrong ti assume the power that be are all against the population, I feel sure there s a war of sorts within their ranks and we will see a few 'rogue ' states like Wyoming going out on a limb, and making these provisions irrespective of what FEMA and DHS have in mind. this has happened with the medicare bill I believe was it California who rebelled?
another thought, is Wyoming acting as test case to bring forward these measures before the rest of the country does? both may be possible.
