I think Zecharia Sitchin's story talks about a nuclear war or explosion in the middle east - way back in the day of the Annunaki being here on Earth - I can't recall the actually site but I believe it is still desolate land today.

I do really think that there was technology thousands of years ago.  Sounds like humans went overboard and became abusive to themselves and to the earth like now (Atlantis for example).  When the earth cleansed herself of that, well, the civilizations and technology was buried.

Very interesting story Cheryl!  I read about the viminas and the nucular war  between India and Pakistan back in 57.  But this actually is the PROOF of that war!  Very cool!  Just goes to show you that a lot of myths and fairy tails and legends are based on truth!  They said that the only way to bring down a Vimana was to split it in two with a rocket, causing the crystals which powered the craft to fall out.  I have a half dozen books on ancient Indian history.  Looks like I will have to re-read them!
