Think about this. All of us Army retirees receive a newsletter titled 'The Echoes Newsletter', containing news about and for retirees. The latest issue has a half page article directed at us. It was a reminder that we retirees are still subject to the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice). The article explained that if we violate something in the code we can be recalled back to active duty and be Court Martial. I find the timing interesting. Could it be that they are afraid of us. All we're doing is trying to uphold our Oath and exercise our Constitutional Rights.

Indeed.
I didn't when I was in and believe it mostly applies to officers and high ranking enlisted men. I only remember swearing to uphold the constitution and what a joke that has become.
Even when the gov't deserves it... do all vets sign away their freedom of speech to be in the military? What a crock.
Going to jail and losing your pension is intimidating for sure. I believe talking badly about the government has always been in the code of conduct.
No we are not. Is this law one that has been on the books forever, or is it newly implemented. Veterans are getting slammed every which way. They are obviously a very real threat to the government. This warning is very much intended as intimidation.
This becomes a little more worrisome do to the fact we are hoping that the military is on our side. The the retired military who have been speaking out will now be treated like whistle blowers. Were not in Kansas anymore.
