Ball Lightning Seen In Nature for First Time

I first learned of ball lightning back in the '80s, when a carpenter plugged his skillsaw into an outlet and the outlet popped and a ball of blue energy came out of it.  I took the concept and wrote a story ("Wild Blue") about earthchanges going so crazy that balls of blue electricity were popping up everywhere.  So, now it has appeared in nature for the first time.  I wonder if this will be a trend.
