Byron  we  are all  cognizant  of the  fact that we  were  asleep at the  wheel as  all this  came to pass.  It is not  a matter of  taking  blame  as  blaming  ourselves and  everyone  else  will not  resolve  the  problem.  Insulting  others  will not fix  the problem  either  and  refusing  to  follow  simple  direction  simply  makes it worse.

I  too swing  back  and  forth  between  and anger  and  despair  at  what  I  see happening.  I  cry  at  my inability  to make a  difference and   ask  what  can  we  do ?  Vote?  well we  already  know that is a  sham  they  could  care  less what   we  have to  say  about  anything.  Revolt?  They  are  waiting  to mow  us  down in a heartbeat.  I  have  asked  here on this  forum  if  anyone  has  any ideas  and  advice  as  to  what  can  be  done  to  exact a  change  that will set  us on the  path.  I  have  been  told  more  than once  that  all that  can be  done is  to  prepare and  get  ready  for  what is  coming.  enjoy  every  moment as  if  it was  our  last  because  we  know  not what the  future brings.

My  question then was legitimate  and heartfelt and  so  I  ask  once  again  aside  from pointing  the  finger and attacking  each other what  can  be  done?  If  someone has  the  answer I  would  like  to  explore  it.

In the  meantime  the  request  has  been  made for  conversations  about   War, Military and  Politics  be  confined  to that   group  and  I ask  that that  request  be  respected.  If there are problems  that  need to be  addressed  I  am  available  and I  will do  all I can  to  try  and  resolve  any situations  that  may  arise.  If  someone feels they  do  not  want  too  deal  with  one individual  in particular there is  always   Cheryl,  Keith, Kim aside from  myself.  Our  emails  are  always  available and  we  will do the  best  we  can  to resolve and  issues that may  arise. 

In   the meantime  I  ask that  we  all remember  that no matter  how  strongly  we  may  feel about  a topic  first  and  foremost  we  must deal  with others  with  respect.  Please  understand that  this is not and  has  never  been a  personal agenda.

I wrote a letter to my children and apoligized for not saving their american dream and told the I was an idiot for not watching what was happening and trying to stop it. We were warned  by Eisenhower, Kennedy and many others and let our constitution be trampled and our bill of rights spit on. In ten days they are null and void. ok,  my  two  cents........This  is  exactly  why  Cheryl  has  asked that these  type  of posts  be limited to their own  group. They  are  volatile and people  tend  to express their opinion  vehemently.  Freedom  of  speech  is a  wonderful thing and  we here  will  stand  with  everyone's  right  to  express their opinion with one  small limitation....The  Golden Rule.  Within  this  rule it  would  be logical  and  rational  to interpret  that as  everyone has a  right to their  opinion  they  do  not  have a  right  to  attack or  insult  others.  There  are  many  ways of  expressing  our opinions  without being  rude or insulting.

A great  deal of  us  here  are  Americans some  living  in the  US  some  not. However  when  one  generalizes  and  calls  Americans  "sheeple"  or  "idiots" you  attack and  entire population.  Likewise  when the  blanket  statement  , of being  surrounded by   sheeple  or  idiots  is used .  Granted  there  are  many  who  are  asleep some  by  choice  others  through the  effects of  the  agendas  at  hand.  Regardless of  why  and  how  they  are  unwilling  or  unable  to  see the events   unfolding  around  them.  Last  time  I  checked  insulting a person  has never  ever  made  them  want  to  see your  side  of  any  argument.  Quite  the  contrary  it makes  them  dig their heels in and  oppose  you  with  every  fiber of their  being.

Are  insults  necessary  or  conducive  to the  premise  of this  group?  When  Cheryl created  this  group  she  did  so  to  give us a place  where  we  could feel  safe  to  speak  our  minds  without  being  singled  out  and  verbally  flogged  for  being  who  we are.  Hence, the  Golden Rule.  Every  person  who joins agrees  to  abide  by that  one  singular  rule.  They  are  asked  to  read the new  members information  to  dispel  all  doubts.

Cheryl  has asked  that  War  and  Military  topics  be posted only  in the  War  and Military  group to avoid  this  very  same  situation   from  breaking  out  in main forum and  disrupting  those  who  choose  not  to have to  deal  with it.  That  some of  you  feel  they  should  wake  up and  smell the  coffee  is  neither  here  nor  there and frankly  anyone  who wants their  views to  override the  comfort  level of  others  around  them is  not  respecting  their  rights.  The  rights of  one  to  express their  opinion  freely  stops  where  the  rights  of  another  who  does not  want to be  bothered  begin.  ALL rights  must  be  respected.  You  have  been  designated  a  group  where  you  can   speak  freely.  We  would  appreciate  it  if you  did  so  and refrain  from  disrupting everyone  else.  That  is  all ,  very   simple. 

You  do  not have the  right to  insult  and have  your insults  stand  unchallenged 

You  do  however,  have  the right to  express  your opinions and  views to  your  hearts content as  long as  they  civil.

American's have no concept what is happening in front of them, totally blind to their destruction. I guess that's why we call them sheeple,.. Well all those sheeples are about to be led off a cliff, i sure hope they enjoy the fall.

Mustafa, thank you for presenting your facts in a rational, non-confrontational way.  This is the Mustafa we would like to see continue with us. 

Lorraine, you may have posted "what's out there" but after listening to the video and seeing how the headline and the content of the video were saying two different things, you should have posted a caveat.  Otherwise, you were condoning /  forwarding the misrepresentation.  Yes, sometimes errors slip through but, if you watched the video all the way through, you would have known the headline was misleading and should have said something.

Now we are jumping back and forth between semantics and what is being portrayed.  Yes we are at war on some level or other but formally we are not at war even with everything listed, we are not at war.  War is pretty well defined and if we were in a war it would be a bit more costly in the form of lives.  Ours as well as theirs.  We have been trying to provoke a confrontation with Iran for some time now, think back for a moment and tell me if they have done anything and I mean anything to the united states in the last 20 years or so well closer to 26 years but who is counting.  They have had tenuous relations with us at the best of times and now they are strutting around with a certain level of cockiness that may not be too prudent when dealing with the trigger happy USA.  Are we a fair and good nation, nope.  Would we attack Iran for petty reasons, yup.  Would Iran come out on top, not on their best day, sorry just reality. 

The media is pretty much good for nothing and I take everything said with a grain of salt. 

Lorraine I didn't lay blame on you for the video or the fact that it is posted.  I was critiquing the label on the video not the messenger who is simply relaying the information.

Alex we are at war, oh it may not have been "declared", but our sanctions are an act of war, our drones are an act of war, we have special forces in iran, an act of war, the list goes on.. Yes it hasn't been"declared" but it is war!

That video came from fox news a propaganda net work.... that resolution is the final step before actual declaration...

It if you look closely at the list Of whom has ben sponsored by AIPAC the vote will be 100 to 2. We have done most everything we can to provoke Iran into creating a reason to attack, all of which are acts of war.
