Yeah, I think money was siphoned off too. We can demand an accounting, but it would never be forthcoming.
Your right Keith every project has a built in siphon. looks like their were to many hands in on this one and didn't leave enough money to do the job right.
Knowing just enough about setting up a website I am sure they could have got the whole thing running flawlessly for 4-5 million. Spending a billion on an incredible disaster is beyond shameful negligence.
This is another example of why government should be completely rebuilt with competent honest people that know what they are doing. If we still think we need a government. Personally I do not.
Right now it seems that every imbecile in the country got hired by the government and they cannot be trusted to do something as simple as take out the trash or sweep the floor. None of them are qualified for even those simple tasks let alone running a government dept. that is charged with spending our tax money.
With her record of failures she has probably learned to deal with it.
The commander is using her as a scape goat just like everyone else in his long list of scandals and the media is playing along.

Not surprised.
I am amazed that this guy is not completely embarrassed by being caught lying. He is a classic example of mind control. Lie so many times that you create a fog of lies that becomes difficult to see through.
