To help diabetes, you take a larger dose. For this application, you want to use Ceylon cinnamon. Most cheap cinnamon in the US is not Ceylon cinnamon.
This opened my eyes to the JBBardot archives. It's a good reference site, but more research should be done to confirm conclusion drawn and see if there is actually more information out there.
