  • Receiving one arctic blast after another and another and another was too much for my butterfly bushes.  Usually some winters we get ONE arctic blast but not several!  Yes this winter was awful.  I don't mind lots of snow, I do not like the arctic blasts.  It even took a toll on critters...

  • It was cold here but not as bad as I seen growing up. I remember about 30yrs ago we had ice everywhere for two weeks  and no electricity for the whole time. Everyone of my rose bushes are blooming like crazy. Yall's winter must of been worse than here in the south. It was cold and extra long this year though.

  • My rose bush, for the first time ever, didn't bloom.  It looks like it died.

  • Ack NO ice age!!!!!!

  • After record heat always comes an ice age.  Kim, I lost many, many plants.  200 large tulips froze out.  10 large hostas, 300 lilies, and plants that I do not even know their names!   Most of them were here for 35 years and they always did OK.  And several pine bushes turned brown on the sun side.   But on the bright side I have perhaps 500 Lillie of the Vallie, or May Bells that are growing amuck!  I rip them out and they still spread.

  • All 4 of my dead butterfly bushes are proof of this.
