Computer Files Stored On DNA

Although researchers claim it is possible to store a billion books' worth of data for thousands of years in just a small test tube (of DNA), why don't they spend more time on discovering what amount of information that is already there or accessible via the DNA! The research seems to be "back to front" to me.

  • Yes me too.

  • It's going to be a wonderous world when we untap this seemingly unlimited potential - can't wait!

  • Sometimes we can use the series "Star Trek The Next Generation" as being base on fact. It is quite conceivable that DNA would become our future library. When we look at "Data," the android, and his ability to speak numerous languages, remember every known ET civilizations' history and be able to retrieve information in a matter of second, we can assume that the information, to which Data was privy, was in a very small area of his brain. DNA use to store large amount of data become less far fetch.
