It looks like a Senator from California can be recalled by petition to the Secretary of State. The signature tally needs to be 20% of the last vote for the office. Then the governor can decide to hold a recall election. This information is in California Constitution -Article 2 : SEC. 14 and 15 (a) (b) (c).
