Did I discover a new fault line?

An earthquake can happen anywhere, anytime!  But they often follow fault lines.  Those cracks usualy run in a straight line.   It seems to me that a pattern has already emerged showing us a new fault line.  Actualy two fault lines.  One running straight accross the U.S. from East to West and the other running at an angle from the North West to the South East U.S.  I made this discovery just a few days ago, but we can go by todays date of Saturday, August 27, 2011.  What do you think?  10957992855?profile=original

  • also all the mining, oil wells, nuke testing underground as well as in the pacific. there was a lot of nuke testing in the fifties and sixties on abonden islands  in the south pacific einstein said: "i do not know how wwIII will be fought but wwIV will be fought with sticks and stones. just think of it. we will be reverting to the cave man days. no electrical power, no phones, no stores. we have done it to ourselves. all the protestors of the sixties were right no more nukes. what did they get jail time and they were right.
  • You also have to add in the fracking.  That has done damage and possibly set the stage for the EQ's we are experiencing now.

Here is an article about Virginia and fracking

  • Some years ago they set off an underground nuke in NM and the radiation showed up in the NW Washington area.  To me that means either a falt line was cracked open by the nuke, or there are many underground tunnels all over the country. My money goes on them cracking a fisher open.  Who knows perhaps all the problems that we are having now were caused by the big powers setting off nukes.  Adamski said his men from Venus warned that nukes will effect the entire solar system.  Perhaps we should go back to square one and look at what George had to say.  The early years of saucer research were cramed full of stories about aliens telling us not to use nukes.
  • thank you jim. after the last 3.4 quake out here in the nw, they found two more fault lines. i think more of this will happen.
  • Geology has always been an interest of mine.  I did get to take one class at the community college and was considering becoming a geologist but lack of funds ruined that.
  • Kim, I studied geology only as a hobby.  However I have hunted for meteorites with a friend who is a geophysicist, who tought me a lot of things that you don't get from books. I have been interested in all the sciences my entire life.
  • The lower line follows the 37th parallel I believe.  It is the most active parallel in the world.  As far as the diagonal line?  I'm not sure.  Best bet is to watch it closely and let's see if there is anything to really back it up.  They are starting to say that there are ancient fault lines that they are just now discovering.  Good find!!
  • I don't know that you have discovered new fault lines.  I am not a geologist.  Having said that, the diagonal line from Alaska to Virginia has some interesting features.  Has everyone else noticed that most of the lakes are on the Northeast side of the line?  Very interesting.  Thank you for your observation!
