ENTIRE Harbour collapses into the sea in Chibatão!

Absolutely chilling to watch! Chibatao is in Brazil. Check out this map at http://www.wikimapia.org/1172564/Porto-Chibatao. Click the minus sign (pans out) and it looks like Chibatao is far inland, just below the equator, on a large tributary that leads to the Atlantic ocean. (Proving the point made yesterday about being away from river towns!) Remember, it has been said that the new north pole will be on the Bulge of Brazil, which is around this area.

anyone know you post a you tube video please

What the hell is going on with our planet??

  • Coedwig I had the same experience last year. That was an earthquake The epicenter was 45 minutes driving distance from my house. I check on USGS web site found out that it was a 2.2 earthquake. It appear that the closest you are the the epicenter you will hear a noise but no shaking. I did feel quite anxious after this event. Neither my husband nor my daughter felt it.
  • No we are on high ground here and 70 miles west of the Mississippi. The nearest river is about 5 miles away and easily 50-100 feet lower than us. I just have this odd feeling in my gut. I will be placing my boots and winter coat by the front door tonight! LOL
  • Tonight at 8:30 Central Daylight Time the strangest thing happened here at my home. The entire house shuddered and the shudder was accompanied by a deep humming sound. I would have thought I had imagined it but my roommate felt and heard it too. We went to the basement to see if everything was okay down there because that is where the sound emanated from...underneath us. I have been awakened by a small earthquake before in New Jersey back in 1985. It wasn't very big, just enough to shake dishes and such but it woke me up. I don't remember what it felt like though as I was asleep. Tonight was very odd though. Not like a truck driving by, more like a shudder lasting just a few seconds, and that deep hum from down below the house! Scary. I am really quite shaken!

  • I spoke with my ex-wife today. She is in Brazil and had not heard anything about it. Of course she doesn't speak Portuguese either! LOL anyway, one would think that her English speaking co-workers would have said something about it, at least in passing. Maybe it's a fake? A scene pulled from an upcoming movie perhaps.
  • my goodness! My roommate is from Brazil and talks to her family all the time and she never heard about it either! I also would like to know what, if any, warning signs happened before the ground just fell in?
  • This almost reminds me of the movie 2012. The whole area was a disaster area for sure. I would not travel on the road, which was shown in the foreground. They'll probably have to clean it up, from below in the bay. If that is even possible. Would be stupid, to bring in heavy equipment, to move trailers, from above. I feel more will be happening again soon. I guess the person filming was in a helicopter. This made headline news, down there in S. America. Even if CNN did not pick it up. I'll pray for the families in which lost their love ones. For one disaster that changed everyones life for ever. Take Care folks
  • You never know when it will happen to us, in our back yard. With this horrific disaster, I sure hope know one else got kill. A backhoe did not do this. It basically was cause by some other means at work. Just because a backhoe was in the area, easy to blame the backhoe personal. A escape goat per say. With us having the global earthquake in the near future. One needs to plan now folks, or actually it is probably to late. This will happen in a lot of areas around the world. Like Seattle, WA., the whole town will end up in the bay. It is not when, it sure to happen in the future to come. A very good portion of the city, and basically the neigbhoods around there will go + the monorail, & highway will surely be lost. Just like San Francisco, any place near a body of water. Whether it be a river, ocean, bay area. Not good to be near any water. Thank goodness I live high on a rock hill. But with the global earthquake, I myself & family will not be protect there either. You know it is not just mother nature, causing us all the trouble. It is Planet X is in our universe now, which is causing a great amount of disasters around the global. Be prepare, have a plan A, B, C just in case. What ever it might be. We are all in this together. Take Care all of you.....God Bless.......
  • Yes Coedwig, it is possible. In fact if the ground is saturated with water, has a clay base and no internal support, a slight vibration will trigger an event like this one. I guess that is why we need to be away from coastlines of from areas with poor geological structure. Waves strength have increased around the world. It is seeping its way inland. There is an island nation that in one night saw part of the island sand disappear in the ocean, leaving the island split in two.
  • I hope there was no one else killed or injured. BTW, that is going to be one heck of a mess to clean up.
  • They said that it was a backhoe working nearby that triggered the slide. I seriously doubt that a backhoe working could cause that kind of devastation. It seems only 2 workers were killed in the incident too!
