  • The colorado river the most protected river in the world is now a cesspool of medication.

  • Yes Keith people do flush their medication down the drain. There is also contamination from people ingesting the medication to alleviate health condition. The lake has now a mixture of antibiotics, antidepressant, heart regulator medication mite in with its water.

Yes Kim B well water is safer.

  • Again,  glad I have a well!

  • Sorry Byron. I should have specified that not all water system recylcle their water. Most of the time, waste water is discharged into a body of water. Here in BC Canada, we have a lake that serves has a potable water reservoir. The water is disinfected before it is sent to people's house. The waste water is treated and sent back into the lake. Unfortunately, the lake is showing signs of pollution from pharmaceutical that are secreted when people go in the bathroom. This is quite a headache for everyone because people that are healthy are exposed to unwanted medication. Health Canada has decreed about 2 years ago that where this is the case, the waste water treatment plants must install a tertiary water treatment system to remove these unwanted pharmaceutical. These are measured in parts per trillions (ppt)

  • I always thought that grey water was sent to rivers and oceans.

  • Well I tend to disagree. once wastewater  pass through the settling tanks, is filtered, and treated, it is still drinking water.
