  • Yep it is a strangle hold on their powers and many stipulations come with the money.

  • The states need to wean themselves off federal money.

  • I have been following the ban myself. The awful thing about Common Core is that Bill Gates funded it. I will look on Netflix for the movie. The states were given government money to accept it even before it was written and were stuck with it.

  • Stephen King beat us with his novel, Cell.  Several states have or are in the process of banning Common Core, which is good news.

  • Cheryl I think with a combined effort you and I could write a SYFY movie the day The Day the Cellphones Died.

The children are being uneducated by Common Core and loosing their imagination with cellphones. Your right about them having trouble doing anything for periods of time without them. When you ask college students to name one senator or one of the bill of rights they are clueless but they can text at breakneck speed.

  • Yah, it's true.  7-8 years ago I was dropping my boss off at Virginia Tech where he taught a law class and we'd arrive during class shuffle.  EVERY single kid had their attention on a cell phone.  Must be hard to sit in class for 50 minutes and not be able to fiddle with them.  Poor kids.  They should sue VT for depriving them of their electronic stimuli.  Right?  Yeah, it's the new America, alright.  This is the next generation.  Full of people who can't function in the real world.  They just pass through it like electromagnetic smog.  I bet on job interviews the candidate and the interviewer will sit across from each other and text back and forth.  This technological trinket is a curse.  I bet those boys don't have any kind of a life outside of their phones.
