Cheryl it is against the Geneva convention to attack the civilian population in any way during war. We used DU in Libya also. Dick Cheney was the one that approved the use of DU in Iraq. It appears they are being used in Syria from the mushroom clouds showing up in videos. Helen Caldecott says that DU from Iraq has already reached California. I don't think anyone understands radiation better than she does.

Jacks, I don't know if the situation has changed in the several years since the first meltdown, but there was a spike in newborn babies' deaths in the Pacific Northwest, attributed to Fukushima radiation in the months after 3/11.  But, you do have to ask why it hasn't been worse.  Maybe it is, with slowly accumulating effects.  The main guy at Tepco just recently passed away, from cancer.  Children are starting to show signs of cancer (at Fukushima).  Radiation has been showing up in Tokyo.  I agree there is something funky going on.

But, Peter, I have been asking the same thing.  How can the world have let it go so long?  If it's depopulation, it's killing the entire planet.  That makes no sense.
