The dotted line you see are electromagnetic portals of celestial objects. Comet ISON is represented by the purple lozenge. When we reach December 8th,2013, ISON connects electrically with Earth (the two dotted lines of both
objects coincide/connects together).
And you can also clearly see, the comet «changes» its path (this is apparent because it is slowing down) after its electrical connection with Earth and will get closer to the Earth. We see the comet turning to his right side (Earth's side)
The electric connection could create (as you know) major eartquakes, bad weather conditions .... you know, the whole thing !
Hope this helped !
P.S.: This reading is known as the «ISWA».

hi james, congratulations on your ham exam,i am N1 ykn.
been operating emergency comm ham radios and put stuff together myself as a back pak radio equipment for over 30 years now.
The metal trash can works well from what i hear but never tested my,self.I got a lot of inf a while back from israel millitary concerning their emp test on back packs.I learned the in theory stuff may work but in practice if you have a home made cage you better be carefull, unless is under ground with aprox,4 ft of dirt on top if i remember corectly.
with radios is even more complicated because battey and antenna is an open source for inviting boltage in to it.

I recently took my Ham Radio Class. During one class session the question came up about a Faraday cage.We proceeded to TEST several theories, which included the theory that an old microwave oven was a good Faraday Cage. WRONG! It is not. The only thing we found (by actually doing it ourselves) that worked was a metal trash can with a metal lid. We lined the INSIDE with bubble wrap, to insulate whatever we were putting inside it from touching the sides or bottom of the can. There were some small holes near where the handles attached to the can. These had to be sealed with some metallic high temperature heat tape before we got a true Faraday Cage that radio waves would not penetrate.
There may be some other way that will work, but I don't know any. It's amazing how the waves got through the tiny holes until we plugged them.
I have all my radios, cameras, etc. inside my new trash can. UPS Store sells the bubble wrap fairly inexpensively. Good luck.
It probably would be wise to put your electronics in Faraday cages, just in case.

Guess we will see.
This could be interesting!
