RLP, Andromedan sources say it is a biosphere.  I tend to agree that it is not a natural phenomenon.  It appears at different places at different times, not behaving like something on an orbit would behave.  It's shadowiness I think could be caused by it being cloaked and suddenly appearing when it blocks light.  And when the light moves away, it seems to disappear.  My best guess.  I think there is more to worry about with fireballs from the ISON debris trail.

So what was the general opinion on this image....it caught my attention for certain! Do you all really think it really is a moment of capturing PX, or some other space abnormality? I read lens flare, but that's the usual excuse NASA likes to use. Could something that huge and close really go unseen by us? This one really has me going wacky trying to fathom what that large, circular image was....a fleeting capture then gone. I will say this, BPEarthwatch is on his toes, he gets the most awesome video captures - even the ones of ISON early on in the game.
