The statement above holds true on many fronts.....sometimes we as a society have a tendency to take things at face value as opposed to digging a little deeper for greater truth..... The image below illustrates this perfectly.....

Single monolithic structures so no adding of heads they were still being constructed up to 1500 years ago is what is says to me.....as for past civilizations going the way of the dodo....Aztecs, Mayan, Taino, Atlantis, Mau(think thats the spelling)....Sumarians and many many others that aren't coming to mind at this moment.... cycles all the way Tammy, I absolutely agree with you :)
Yes, I think there were prior civilizations, lost in time and from prior cataclysms.
Possible explanation is that the head is the most weathered part of all, so maybe that affects dating? I don't see why the head would have been added later.
The fact to me is that we can not accurately date anything! My theory is that there have been previous civilizations here on Earth. All these have come to an end or close to extinction in their time. The best example would be Atlantis or Lemuria. Who is to say that they were the first? Could it be that there were others prior to that?
That we suck at dating......obviously we are off more often than not.....oldest cave paintings dating back to 40,000 years or so, oldest human fossile was 15k then 64k now somewhere in the realms of 108k....we suck at dating.....
In the grand scheme of things all possibilities can be considered. For example: the body is dated at about 8000 years ago while the head is dated to 1500-1800 years ago. So, what theory can we presume of this?
exactly....the concept of a core sample at its best and these heads have seen alot.....
The amount of dirt that had accumulated is one indication of age for the entire body. The dirt can be analyzed to see various geological events that occurred over time.
Go figure.... lol
Dating has ranged from 1500-1800 years back for some heads tested so relatively recently.....as for the body, it stands they have yet to complete the test but they are postulating as far back as 8000 years....not confirmed.
