The shutdown is speculative until its made official.  Once it does occur pay close attention to the movements of your Mayors/ Senators/ Congressmen and Governors....if you notice that none are to be found there is a really good chance that they have made their way to their safe locations and you should do as well....If you live near the New Madrid, move and move quickly either east or west but make sure to strictly avoid the fault by at least 50 miles but 100-150 miles is definitely preferable.
