Just had a freaking earthquake.....

Just 5 minutes ago my house began shaking.  Then 2 minutes later my dad called.  OMG.  I think the Ramapo might have slipped.

I am in south central pa near the MD / PA line (adams county)

  • What I meant to say in what I just posted was that with all these oddities that have happened in the past two years with weather and earthquakes is that many people STILL go on and miss the wake up call.
  • Yes earthquakes do happen.  Normally they do happen on the ring of fire.  However it is unusual for ancient faultlines to wake up out of the blue, such as the Ramapo faultline which came alive in October of 2008.  Swarms of microquakes since then underneath a small town of Dillsburg, PA which normally never gets earthquakes.  And then there was the earthquake near Damascus, MD last year.  And the earthquake of this past week in Virginia.  Definitely beyond normal as the planet is "waking up" for some reason.  Oh, then you have tornadoes in Massachusetts.  No, tornadoes are not supposed to happen in Massachusetts.  THAT is normal for Kansas, Kentucky, etc. not for Massachusetts.

One thing is for sure, tall buildings in cities do not do well with earthquakes.  New York City sits on the tail end of the Ramapo.  Scientists say it would be catastrophic to NYC if the Ramapo produced anything over a 5 (as I recall reading).

The Mayans said the earth changes would escalate starting in 2010.  I say they have big time.  Then you have those such as Edgar Cayce where a lot of his earth change predictions are coming to be.  Then of course you have prophecy of the Hopi.  Yet people still pretend nothing could happen so they do not do any type of preparation.

  • Also, if the earthquake WAS a wake-up call, then Irene is another slap in the face.  If not a wake-up to eminent massive global change, then at least to the power of the earth over man's arrogant cities in the coastal plains.  Man will sooner or later be made to look like an utter fool when his tall buildings and cities are decimated.
  • I think so, too, Kim.  But I've been developing a sliver of skepticism, but not enough to steer me away from preparing my "compound" for the fall and winter.   By skepticism, I mean that earthquakes are as natural and recurring as wildfires and hurricanes.  Admittedly it SEEMS as if earthquake activity is increasing: is there a website that shows a graph of seismic activity for the last 10 to 100 years?
  • This quake is a wake up call however many here on the east coast are totally not getting it.
  • Noticed the increase in violence?  Watch for it to increase.  Planetary/cosmic forces do influence the closed electrical circuit known as the human body.
  • Headache hysteria LOL
  • I think static electricity from the quake affected my modem and took my internet down.  I had to go unplug it and restart it again.  This is what the internet repair guy told me to do for a lightning strike or powersurge.  BTW my land line phone went down on sunday and the guy asked me if we had a lightning storm.  WE did not have a lightning storm when it went down.  Some type of electrical charge took it out.
  • I developed a head ache 5 nights ago in the middle of the night.  I rarely get headaches and never while I am sleeping.  I've heard of those who get headaches right before a quake.

  • You make an interesting point Alex, maybe a discussion should start about doing that - there's a reason for everything, nothing is by coincidence and its very well possible that this ning has brought a few certain people together to establish something critical for survival.

Kim, I've been dealing with terrible headaches for the past week and now it's gone - I'm not prone to them either.  We have the ability to forecast these events.
