Solar generators kept in faraday cages until after the emp.  If only I could afford them :) Next best choice...learn how to make candles people.....simple way to gurantee light.

Preparing for the lights to go out with generators and gasoline is only a temporary fix to something that may last a year or more. If you can not learn to live in the 19th century right away you won't survive anyway.
