After Cheryl and others mentioned how the recent earthquakes lie on the 37th parallel, I got to thinking. I thought what is it about this line that is bothering me so much. So here it is and please feel free to add:

The 37 parallel South passes through New Zealands North Island. Ironic when you consider that the 37 parallel south only travels through four countries in total; Argentina, Chile, and Australia being the rest.
There was a theory that this is where magnetic north used to be.
The jpg below show the graph of earthquakes for 2008-2011. The 37th is the most busy parallel.
