Nothing helps emotions like careing for a dog

After Little Bear died I could not stop thinking about him.  The only answer was to get a simular dog.  So after four months of looking I finaly found Asher, a three year old Siberian Husky.  Little Bear was an Alasken Malamute, but they are both snow dogs with simular personalities.  He is a great dog to have around and demands lots of attention and four long walks a day.  He also loves rideing in the van.  If any one is having emotional problems because of planet X, I would suggest getting a dog!  It will make you feel a whole lot better!  Asher was adoped from a shelter. 10957978267?profile=original10957978668?profile=original

  • Yes I have noticed a difference, he was behaving as alpha at the grand old age of 3 months.....now he is all of 4 months and 2 weeks :)  He is definitely a bright one.....and his disposition is simply amazing, playful but easily calmed which is a huge plus.

  • Jason, I have the same problem.  I just wash the area they lick, or wash my hands after petting or playing and am OK then.  Even a scratch that does not brake the skin welts up quite big.

Alex, I think Little Bear does approve and perhaps had a doggy talk with him because he knows the roaps!  I Love your Malamute!  Have you noticed that he is not like other dogs?  And pure Alpha!  They have a mental connection that few dogs have.  Most Malamute owners/ companions, say that it is as if they can read your mind!

Kim, I will look into those pills!

  • Jim, maybe he is a husky.  He's a pure bred with electric blue eyes.  He's a gorgeous animal, very strong and playful.
  • Great choice....Little Bear would approve.  My monster is growing quickly....here he is with the girls

  • Jason M - there are homeopathic drops (or sugar pills) that you can buy called "Pet Dander or Animal dander" that if you take these for 8 to 12 weeks, it will eliminate your allergies to critters.  Look for these online or at your local health food store.

    Jim - lovely dog!

  • Cheryl, I like the way you put that, "I am usualy adopted by every dog or cat I meet."  That means they like you and want to be your friend!  Only huskies have blue eyes, all Malamutes have brown eyes.  He could be both or is a Husky.

Jason, Thanks!  There is a cat that has no hair!  People with alergies to cats have them with no problem!  If you are interested I will ask my daughter what they are called. So let me know.   I know several people who own them.

  • Cats have fur, dogs have hair.  I have no problem with cats, except a couple of Siamese I know.  Their fur (or hair?) is so fine I sneeze around them.
  • So true, Jim.  Animal therapy is used in nursing homes where the animals bring great joy to the patients.  My daughter-in-law has a young Alaskan Malamute with electric blue eyes and a very interesting color pattern on his face.  He is an intense dog. I need to get a picture of him.  His name is Rocco.

I am usually adopted by every dog or cat I meet.  One cat, Jerilyn, leaps from the ground to my shoulder when she sees me.  Thomas is more reserved.  He makes me invite him.  He'll sit in front of me with his back turned towards me until I call him.  I think he's an actor on vacation.  He and Jeri are siblings, growing old together.  They are a couple of characters.

  • Pale blue, she is a citie too!  Cats live to be about 20 so she will be around to give you happeness for a long time!  And thank you!
