Now that he is an international hero I think the PTB are flustered as how to handle the situation. Especially since he said he send his information out to a few people to be opened if he is caught.

From what I get, he's in a "transit zone" that needs no visa, that means he has not officially entered Russia, which is why Russia claims they can do nothing.  Who knows, he may be on his way somewhere via private vehicle.

I just read an article that said he was stuck in the Moscow airport without a passport. Who knows what is real and not about him anymore.
