I wanted to add to and compliment Keith's blog on the Nuclear Plants, with a focus on the USA Nuclear Plants close to the New Madrid earthquake faultline. As you can see they are mainly localized on the Eastern half of the USA....You can see what will happen here also if the New Madrid earthquake occurs ..

I want to address the problem of the avalibility of Potassium Iodide right now. Most supplier are out, back ordered or not taking orders at all.. Don't give up keep looking if you do not have any in your emergency supplies.

The only brands that I recommend are FDA approved and are IOSAT, ThyroShield and Thyrosafe.

Infants are most suseptable to radiation fallout and adults over 40 are less.. It works best if used within 3-4 hours of exposure. Comes in liquid and tablets..

As Americans watch Japan struggle to gain control of their nuclear power plants the public is beginning to question whether the same sort of nuclear crisis is possible in the United States.  The crisis in Japan is already said to be worse than the Three Mile Island incident, and if conditions deteriorate even more there is concern of a meltdown with international implications.
