Belgium has halted one of its seven nuclear reactors on suspicion that one of its components might be cracked, the country’s atomic power regulator said Wednesday. “We have found anomalies,” said Karina De Beule, spokesman for the ACFN, the federal agency for nuclear control. The agency is “evaluating these anomalies, if they can cause cracks,” De Beule said, adding that the 1,006-megawatt Doel 3 reactor will remain shut at least until the end of August. The incident–at the moment classified level 1 in a scale where Chernobyl-style explosions are level 7–risks triggering renewed controversy about the use of nuclear energy in Europe, where authorities are seeking to ensure safe operations at sometimes ageing reactors, while at the same guaranteeing a reliable electricity supply. Last year’s atomic scare in Japan has heightened public concerns about the dangers of using nuclear power, prompting several European nations to reconsider their energy provisions. Germany has said it will shut all its nuclear plants by 2022, and Belgium decided recently to stand by earlier plans to exit nuclear energy by 2025. De Beule said that several scenarios are possible, between two extremes: the anomalies might end up being nothing important, or more thorough analysis might find out that they threaten the integrity of the reactor. The news comes as the European Union’s executive body is working on the final version of a report about the safety of Europe’s nuclear plants. The Fukushima accident had such an effect on European public opinion that the EU decided to carry out safety checks, called stress tests, on all of its plants, and the results are due to be released by the end of the year. GDF Suez SA (GSZ.FR), the French energy giant that operates Belgian nuclear plants through its unit Electrabel, confirmed that the reactor will remain closed. “The reactor has been halted since June for regular control. Halt for maintenance has been extended, to allow additional inspections,” a company spokesman said. The incident has no impact on the health of workers, nearby residents or the environment, the company said.

I'm 110 miles from Charlotte's reactors and 118 miles from Raleigh-Durham's. Crap, a reactor between Apex and Fuquay-Varina? I used to go through there to visit relatives in Albemarle County when I was a kid. There was a gas station and corn fields. It's disturbing to think of a nuclear reactor being there now.
Anyway, those are south of me and I'm up on a mountain. These mountains have a way of protecting us from storms, both northerly and southerly. The winds generally blow west to east. But this is the east coast and the distances they talk about 10 mi. and 50 mi. aren't going to mean much if a bunch of them blow.
Many of these nuclear reactors are reaching the end of their lives, and thereby the end of your lives if you happen to live by them! A tradeoff for energy not unlike russian roulette When there were better alternatives readily available but not so politically correct? I am and have been against them for so long! The question now is not if but when? For they will all eventually fail, and the consequences are abominable!!! In this we surely need the help from our higher dimension Star Brothers and Sisters.For without that help we will be undone so terribly it would boggle the mind of any 3rd dimensional being! If you think your governments can handle this you are truly deceived? It cannot be undone, it will destroy this planet left unchecked. Many other civilizations on other planets were destroyed by their own ignorance of this fact! I wont go into the details as you can already understand them. Nuclear power was the worst decision that man could have ever done! Were it not for those of a higher dimension being here today to save you? All would quickly be lost! So while we pontificate on which channeler is true or not, Which ET is for us or against? If Nibiru comes and those reactors are still active mankind will not be! Nor ever again for many thousands of years! Whats the half life of hundreds of nuclear reactors on a planet all going off at the same time? Or thousands? You see with out the help of higher powers we are all toast! And in the next incarnation of your Soul on another planet, you can tell your children as much! There is no way out! They must all be removed and tossed into the Sun or some sun that wont effect this planet. Even the enemies of mankind know this much! And i dont think even they would allow this scenario to continue as where would be the advantage for them?We need to ascend Yes! But we also need to learn to be responsible for our actions? One will not happen without the other, for then where would be the reason that you Ascend if your going to continue in such foolishness? It is a lesson that must be learned! Should the Prime Creator of all Souls let you loose upon other planets just to raze them with war and nuclear power? While i know and admit we all ascend accordingly to our own Souls abilitys. Just the same do you now understand what i am talking about? This is a Spiritual growth process and experience and lessons are all a part of that growth. Noone learns to walk without first crawling!
