President Obama said on Tuesday that he was directing the IRS to send lollipops leftover from his 2009 inaugural ceremony to citizens who lost their health insurance policies because they didn’t meet the new, minimum standards of Obamacare. Explaining further, Obama said that, “when I was a kid growing up in Kenya and I would have to go to the dentist, they would always give me a lollipop. Being in that scary environment, the lollipops made me feel better. I think it will have the same effect on people who have suddenly found themselves without health insurance.”
The President may be on to something. Leading scientists have noted that lollipops have a calming effect on people, especially if they are in a stressful situation, like when losing their health care policies.
President Obama said that all one has to do to get their free lollipop is to visit the Obamacare website and apply for one.
