POOR AMERICA
With one and a half million (1.5 million) American children now homeless, reporter Hilary Andersson meets the school pupils who go hungry in the richest country on Earth. From those living in the storm drains under Las Vegas to the tent cities now springing up around the United States, P a n o r a m a finds out how the poor are surviving in America and asks whatever happened to the supposed 'government' and the Real People in charge - those who you 'don't see' pulling on the strings; and their vision and welfare for the country.
Could this be a form of 'Social cleansing' without the need of war or disease inflicted by the orchestrators - simply a controlled bout of poverty? Or is this the forced education that only condition children to know only a certain amount of knowledge that can only ever see them progress in working environments such as confined offices within the 'Human Zoo' qualities within the desperately overcrowded cities.
Why are our children not educated properly - to be able to survive communally with real craft and building skills? Is the social mobility (as in other 'rich countries' such as the UK) only fairing the rich; the wealthy and the 'clever elite'; the white collar criminal, as per usual?

Iknow Tammy me too. As if it weren't bad enough they have to do without the poor babies are having to worry about stuff they shouldn't have to deal with . That little girl was traumatized it is so very sad.
Not sure here. But, things are changing and it looks like the STS are pushing their agenda. Sad really and it breaks my heart to see these kids (just babies) going without!
We have food banks in my area. However, in PA, migrant workers (non- US citizens) get first dibs on food stamps.
Not sure, I suppose so . Just like the States that are making the homeless tent cities illegal as well as living in you r car. I mean if these people had a real choice do they actually think they would be living out of their cars or in a tent city in the woods? These people are just out of touch with reality and with human suffering. I don;t have much but I give what I can , most people I know around my area do. The local supermarket HEB has a large kiosk in the front of the store with bags representing meals for the hungry that customers take up to the register and pay for . For each bag a customer buys they give one full meal to the local food bank. It is just beyond me not to care about this situation or these poor children.
In our area, poor children get free lunches at school and are provided food in the backpacks on Fridays to help them get through the weekend. We have several food banks. One gives out bakery products from the local Food Lion every Wednesday evening, and two give out food once a month. Everyone who is poor can get food stamps and the food banks are open the 3rd and 4th weeks of the month to make sure people make it to the end of the month. Why isn't this happening in Las Vegas and other places? Is this a state thing?
