St. Louis Airport closed due to storm damage

Wow.  Tornado?

"Daybreak Saturday in storm-ravaged St. Louis gave workers at its closed airport an opportunity to survey significant damage from an apparent tornado that rocked and moved airplanes.

Aerial footage from CNN affiliate KSDK showed crews on terminal roofs and cranes and other equipment moved into place at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport."

  • Can't tell it by seeing/hearing but less air traffic over Metro-East is good for breathing!

It's been cloudy ever since but even when the T-Storms were more than 15miles away still had Thunder! Maybe ground rumble from NM?
  • It has gone from chilly here and now it's supposed to warm up into the 80's this week.  Today 66, tomorrow, 77, Monday, 77 Tuesday, 81 , wednesday 81 and each day, except for Tuesday, they call for potential showers.  Too much rain so far, it is going to delay my garden.

  • I live in St Louis and experience the storm.  The damage at Lambert has never happen in my life time. My thought is the storms will intensify as the objects draw nearer the earth.  This storm is then just mild to what is coming down the pike..
  • Question of the day - is the Divine source causing these tornadoes to take out malls, etc.?  Wonder when they will start to splat banks.  What concerns me is one of these large tornadoes taking out nuclear reactors.
  • Remember how tornadoes didn't ever seem to hit business areas?  That seemed to change a year or two ago when downtown Atlanta was hit.  Tornadoes aren't just for residential/rural areas any more.
