PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

IF IN MOBILE HOMES OR VEHICLES…EVACUATE THEM AND GET INSIDE A STURDY SHELTER. IF NO SHELTER IS AVAILABLE…LIE FLAT IN THE NEAREST DITCH OR OTHER LOW SPOT AND COVER YOUR HEAD WITH YOUR HANDS.

HEAVY RAINFALL MAY OBSCURE THIS TORNADO. TAKE COVER NOW! IF YOU WAIT TO SEE OR HEAR IT COMING… IT MAY BE TOO LATE TO GET TO A SAFE PLACE.

  • I've never remembered anything this bad either.  Luckily, no one was hurt or killed here in pennsylvania.
  • There is always something "worse" that has happened before which means "nothing totally unusual is happening."  I say baloney.  It's never been this bad.
  • We had a wild storm but no tornadoes here last night.  It rained and thundered all night, for about 6-7 hours straight.
  • I went to grocery store this afternoon In Beebe,AR. There were trees down all along the highway about a mile from me.  They said in the store they just got power back on.  My sister still doesn't have any. We were in a car many years ago when high winds came. It was rocking back and forth.  Now that was scary.
  • Weak EF-1's did some damage in York county and Lebanon county in Pennsylvania.  Now we are left with a lot of wind and wet, wet, wet here.  At 5 am this morning I heard the tornado sirens going off in Emmitsburg.  No tornado though.
