This is a very good start.

Now for some EC news.  I had an epiphany of sorts.  Like everyone else I had  been outraged by the closing of the US caves.  Because of course that's where I had planned to hideout.  Rough it through the devastation of PX and then have the supplies to start over.
So, I got on line to search all of the caves near  by me.  I read this:

The Texas Cave Conservancy is dedicated to the protection of caves, cave life, and aquifers as related to caves. We work through public education, scientific research and cave management by assisting land developers, municipalities, conservation groups, other non-profit organizations and private land- owners in the protection and management of caves.

My brain thought didn't we just have an terroristic threat against our water supplies.?

At the end of FEBRUARY, 2011, Texas terror suspect, Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari, aimed to destroy 12 water sources in Colorado, California.

And I connected those dots.  In a family discussion more dots formed. With the EQs, lava chambers forming, and large fissures opening in the earth, No one knows what may be happening inside the cave systems.  And that opens up a whole new can of worms for discussion.  Hmmmmm   ...  Hollow earth theories come to my mind.

More food for thought.

  • I agree, Weiynala.
  • Well, the spaceship was tongue in cheek.

Anyway, just sharing what I've gleaned over the years.  Personally, I don't believe there is really any safe location, just some are safer than others.

  • Well ...  And now for the good news.  Oh that was? the good news... Hmmmm

So we need to locate a hill for sale, buy it and dig into the side of it.  Now how in ____are we going to do that?  Or own your own spaceship.  Like the Virgin Mobile dude ... Maybe he will loan us a few mil.  Or we could hitch a ride w/ him.

  • Hundreds of miles from coastlines or the Mississippi.  Elevation as high as you can go.  Stay away from western mountains because of mountain building.  Close enough to a mountain or hill to deflect wind and incoming bolides, but not so close  to end up at the bottom of a landslide.  McCanney said in one of his publications that halfway up a hill and burrowed into it was his idea. He commented that the scientists that build dome homes 50' below the Arizona desert had built themselves expensive tombs (they might end up at the bottom of a sea).  ZT promotes a metal-covered trench so earthquakes won't bury you.  However, hope that a sinkhole doesn't open up beneath you.  Best course is to be off the planet, on a spaceship.
  • I have a friend who is an engineer with OSHA and he thought of a submarine but ruled it out.  I forget exactly why but I think it had to do with turbulence and that the submarine could end up on a mountain top (smashed or not) because of the forces at play.
  • Well ... I know we need to high up and away from the coastlines, volcanoes & faultlines.  300 mph winds will be a problem too. My thought was a cave would sustain the winds but not the EQs. I guess digging deep enough holes would be the best bet.

  • Actually, caves may not be safe places to hide, what with all the earthquakes and fissures and all.  If there's a cave in, there won't be anyone to help.
