The new barricades were double-wired together, featuring new signs informing tourists that the park was closed except for First Amendment activities.
The scene at the World War II memorial was busy Monday morning as a group of more than 90 World War II veterans from Montana visited the site.
Sens. John Tester and Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., were present at the site delivering speeches to the veterans during the recognition ceremony. Rep. Steve Daines, R-Mont., was also present.
The congressmen thanked the veterans for their service, reminding them that the site was “their memorial” and they deserved to visit it in spite of the government shutdown.
Four park rangers were seen observing the activity at the site, taking pictures and chatting with puzzled tourists.The three congressmen put a wreath on the Montana pillar of the memorial and posed for photos before leaving the site.

Mine comes on the first so I have a thinking to do in two weeks but since it is from infomaniac I am not as worried.
Treasury Secretary Lew had said there could be untimely payments if a debt ceiling isn't reached by October 17th. Untimely, I think, means late. And once they pass the new ceiling, it would be made up. Just hope you all have understanding landlords.

I have several welders and yep, that would be very handy and a good idea.
Good idea and bring a welder to seal them.
I hope another group of vets takes them down and trucks them to the white house and congress and sets them up there. If I was in DC I would surely join in.
His defiance of us Americans disgusting. It appears he is going to do his best to start a revolt.
