  • Thank you Alex for your kind comment. It does look like Chris have been swarmed with attacks and it did surprise me too the extent of our retaliation on him. But It just shows how ECCentral core members felt about misinfo of PS ning , and vice versa - how they felt about us judging from the sarcastic insult Chris directed at me.

And you are right Karma is not an excuse to treat people like this or like that. We, treated him this way as a result of HIS Karma/Action, Karma didn't.

Karma aside, and back to being human again, I'd say Chris is a very arrogant and self centered person. Infact, believe it or not, when I post this blog I was thinking about him. How would a person who appeared to be so skilled, so intellect and able (newsletter creator!) would feel if he read something written by a simple person like me that goes entirely against him? And boy, did I get a respond. Honestly, I thought he would response in a more constructive ways, but his rude sharp sarcasm really caught me by surprise.

Even now, I wish him good luck and wish that he come to the light.

  • Ummm, I do understand Karma and have read extensively on the topic, thank you Sonny for the breakdown it is appreciated.  My problem was how it was used to justify the way Chris was being treated.  Karma is not and will never be a justification for treating someone badly, thats all I am saying.

  • That is a good way to put it Sizzle, '.....always meeting Self.....' The picture is as big and complicate as the universe. Be at peace with Karma will help one meet Self and Oneness by doing away with negatives such as hatred, grudge, vidicative, etc., and turns you towards love, forgiveness, understanding and sancity.

The meaning of Karma has always been misunderstood as bad deed committed or negative affect on the person. In Bhuddism, Khama means actions (includes non-action) that one has done. That action can be a bad one, a neutral one or a good one, it is Karma in action. Karma is not the result of your action, it is your action itself. When something bad or good happen to a person it is actually a consequence of your Karma. How one reacts to the consequences affecting them will lead one to create new Karma (unless you're dead as a result of the consequence). By taking time to write this post I'm realising I'm doing Karma, with the consequence that my office work is being compromised. Infact, Karma happens every living seconds of your life! Thus, Karma never stop, never ends as much as life itself never stop breathing never does on this Earth and in the Universe. It accumulates, dispensed, blurred in, crossover and turned into something eles and then there is collective Karma, Karma link by bloodlines, oh so many, which is why no man can draw a diagram of it. Without the Divine Laws of Karma, People will have gotten away with their action, and that would not be right would it? Like if I drink massive beer I will get intoxicated soon (or sooner in my case), there is no getting away with it.

Sometimes, the consequence of Karma (your action) is seen quite dramatically and immediate and clear cut (like Chris's case), but often it is delayed and gets complicated. When 'shit happens' you either understand why, or you don't. - in your mind you say 'oh dear I knew I shouldn't have done that, now I'm paying for it ' or ' what have I done to deserve this!?'  in which maybe you DID done something to deserve it but you didn't know what at that time (when one gets older and wisdom grew one realised the answer twenty years later, like me). Sometimes you really DIDN'T, coz the Karma to its affect happen in your previous incarnation.

It is best and I truely reccomend to anyone who desire to understand Karma to grap a book written by a Buddist monk or intellect, any book, and you will find it cannot get away with not talking about Karma, because it is the pillar of everything that happened around us and to us, as an individual, as families,  as groups, as country, as regions, and, as Earth, everything you see, feel, and sensed. At least reading about it will surely enlightens a person, I promise :)

  • Karma came up in the first place when mentioned by Morris Levin in response to a post I had made regarding the method of presentation being used by everyone particularly in regards to Chris's comment.  I was defending a friend when I questioned Morris' comment regarding Karma being fair and impartial.  If Karma were fair and impartial it would do nothing because impartial means not taking a side.  Karma not only takes a side it is enforced either in this life or the next so it kind of holds a grudge.  To call Karma divine law or the edict of God is a pretty big statement.  Karma is what we perceive to be the actions of God or the universe upon those who either do good or ill.  It functions as payment or punishment depending on why it is occurring.  Sorry but in the end it is just another attempt by man to label and categorize things that we simply don't understand or it is simply a way to justify treating someone else harshly, which is how I took it to be presented when I read Morris' comment as if to tell me that everything that was being said regarding Chris he brought upon himself hence removing all accountability for simply being rude.
  • Your comment is a good message, I can't find any thing you said to disagreed on, though I tried :)

  • Alright Alex here I go...The rule of Karma is actually the Law of the Universe. The law of the Univ. is the Divine Supreme let's called it/him 'God'. No living beings in this world will ever claim they understand Karma, fully. Because we don't understand it fully it will always appear to be unfair.

A poor boy who very reluctantly steel some money because he couldn't sell enough eromatic flowers at traffic light intersection and was too afraid of going home to his hungry disable mother. (say in a very third world country). A rich boy who have a an oversize lunch content who doesn't share anything when begged for but in the end give out what he couldn't consume anymore anyway. A bad and good deed has been committed, and so it seems. When they both grown up say in their thirties now, the poor boy life gets better and the rich boy got worse. Why?  The rich boy never committ any crime but the poor boy did it a number of times and yet he is not being punished in his latter life. This seems unfair to the man who was a rich boy, is it not? Well the answer is with God he has made his judgement and each of these now adults are receiving what they deserve, perfectly fair and just. (assuming no stupid decisions were made by these two people in their life)

I know real life is much much more complicated than this simple example and then I didn't even mention about previous lifes actions into the formula, just consider that the boys are having first incarnation as a human.

    OK your or anyone response.

  • Wow! Thank you everyone, Alex, Kim, Brian, Cheryl, Morris and Jason, your comments are constructive, individualistic, informative and may I say with good humour too! :) When we are able to voice one's own opinion without being too rude at each other and without the fear of being crucified it make us that much more expansive intellectually and brings out a display of different colors and characters. We are like school students who are taught how to think and question the authority compare to those who are taught how to follow teachers' statement and orders. What a refreshing difference!

  • Thanks Jason.  I consider everyone involved in this blog friends so it bugs me to see them going at it.  As the great prophet King once said......can't we all just get along.......

  • Is it truly?  I have never personally considered Karma fair and impartial personally.  It is quite partial if you are being judged according to past deeds be they good or bad makes little difference there is partiality involved.  As for fairness that too can be brought into question because who determines what is fair, who set the standard that the universe works with...... come on people.  Be polite for the sake of being polite not for the sake of what rewards may come due to your actions.....
