Lee raised a point that reminded me that what we see is a very slowed down version, so the ISS crew may not see them (or as many) because they move so fast, but Peter may be right that it's just a normal occurrence, and maybe they aren't supposed to talk about it on the "open" channel.

Another thought is that the audio and video are two distinct things, and were merged together to make this video.  How does anyone know for sure it wasn't?

Keith I have to agree with you because the astronauts from day one have reported UFO's  there are hour long recordings of them talking about them. Just another day on the space station for them IMO too. Buzz Aldren went public years ago and the astronaut that just died did also. They have probably been warned from talking about them unless on a secure channel.

I don't see why the people on board the shuttle wouldn't be able to see the "down-feed" anyway - simple technology.

However, I'm convinced that the UFO's weren't mentioned because it is a normal occurrence - just normal traffic.

Looking forward to the day when this is exposed to all of us.

IMO, we definitely need the DNA upgrade (maybe to 4D) to handle all of this extra dimensional information / stimuli / data, etc. Full exposure of this may not happen until then - don't want to blow any 3D "fuses".

Keith, I don't know.  I looked around and found this article: http://www.imaging-resource.com/news/2013/04/08/check-out-all-these....  There's a cool picture of a bunch of Nikon cameras floating in zero gravity.

Peter, would the ground crew tell the ISS crew what they were seeing?  I dunno.

Listening closely to the video voice over - it appears to be a discussion from the earth base station to the space shuttle - where it appears that the earth base are receiving the "down-feed" video as they call it.

Cheryl, I agree that the space crew wouldn't be able to see any craft with their own eyes through the shuttles windows, but maybe they can view a live screen - and I would be fairly sure the ground crew would be watching the "down-feed" video - they seem to refer to it in parts.

Don't they normally also have this "down-feed" up on a big screen as well - or is that only done for TV effect?

I revisited it and think this is the answer, Peter:

UV light cannot be seen by the human eye so the objects we see normally cannot be seen by the spaceshuttle crew.

I think it means the camera picked up the UFO's in the UV spectrum because of the type of camera it was, but the spaceshuttle crew couldn't see them because they weren't wearing any kind of UV glasses and thus couldn't see them.  That's why they aren't mentioning them.

If they did not know that the clip would be released you would think as a matter of observational conversation that the UFO's would be mentioned - particularly in regard to the large number of them. But as you say Cheryl it could be such a normal event - a bit like the passing traffic on the road - that they don't get a mention. That, in my mind, is significant and I'm quite excited to think there is that much "usual" activity up there!

Maybe the UFOs are common occurrences (because they have been seen by the ISS too) and they did not know the clip would be released?

The text above the video states that the video is shot with a "far-ultraviolet spectrum camera" and therefore as this is outside of the human eye range the objects would not be visible to personnel on board the space station.

These flying objects are then in a way "cloaked" from human eyes - so Keith I guess they could be either ET or human origin (assuming we have this technical ability as well).

I assume that this video was deliberately shot in the ultraviolet spectrum for a reason (unknown) - and although there is commentary (I think from someone who is viewing the camera's output) - it is strange that there is no mention of the flying objects. Either it is a very common occurrence (and therefore not worthy of mention) or maybe they were expecting them (and as they knew the video would be released told not to mention them). Pure speculation I know - but somewhat strange.
