If I am not mistaken.....the bible reads as such....

Dominion - dominance or power through legal authority
If I am not mistaken, animals have no clue what dominion means....it is assigned authority by an omni-potent god, hmmm. Wonder if cops would buy that argument....ohh wait Michael Vick is a great example that dominion is defined more by the state than by the individual.....
I have yet to find a source that says power over life and death...we are simply a brutal race that loves the concept of justification....
Weiynala of Styx the reason why some do not respect animals is quite simple. When I was a kid, the priest and nuns use to tell us that animal were dum, did not feel anything and were inferior to us humans. It is still a belief to this day.
Wish I knew why Weiynala. It's disgusting what a lot of animals are put through and it seems nothing is done about it.
